Apprentice Electrician Position Overview
EV Careers in Monroe, LA, is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic construction team. This role is ideal for an individual who is eager to apply their knowledge of electrical theory while gaining hands-on experience. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work closely with our team of expert Electricians, assisting in the installation and testing of EV charging stations, pulling wire, bending conduit, and learning to read blueprints and circuit diagrams.
Must Haves for Apprentice Electrician
We are looking for an Apprentice Electrician with 2-5 years of experience. Enrollment in a certified electrician apprenticeship program is required, along with a solid understanding of electrical theory and safety. You must be willing to work in various environments, including outdoor and industrial settings, and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders. Strong communication and team collaboration skills are vital. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also necessary.
Key Apprentice Electrician Duties
As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll help install and test EV charging stations, pull wire, and bend conduit under supervision. You’ll also maintain tools and worksite cleanliness, learn to read blueprints and circuit diagrams, and follow NEC guidelines for low-voltage and 240V installations. Attending weekly safety meetings and hands-on training is essential, as is shadowing journeyman electricians during EVSE installations and repairs.
