Aspen Electric is hiring a full-time Service Journeyman Electrician based in Reno, NV. This role focuses on residential service work, and we need someone who takes pride in doing clean, reliable, code-compliant electrical work for homeowners. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems in occupied homes. This is not new construction or commercial work. It’s one-on-one with customers, and professionalism matters just as much as your wiring skills.

Requirements

• Nevada Journeyman Electrician Certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in residential electrical work, preferably in service
• Clean driving record with no exceptions
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Able to work independently in the field and represent Aspen Electric professionally
• Comfortable communicating with homeowners and explaining the work being performed
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in crawlspaces and attics

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in existing homes
• Install new circuits, breakers, panels, lighting, outlets, and GFCIs
• Perform panel upgrades and service changes
• Conduct safety inspections and code corrections
• Communicate clearly with customers about scope of work and pricing
• Keep your work truck organized and stocked
• Use job tracking software (training provided)
• Follow NEC and local codes on every job
• Complete daily paperwork and update job notes accurately
