Electrician at Prime Partners
About Our Electrician Team
As a Senior Electrician with 20 years in the field, I can say with confidence that working as an electrician at Prime Partners in Manhattan Beach, CA means joining a team that takes pride in doing clean, code-compliant, high-quality work on every project we touch. Our reputation throughout Manhattan Beach has been built on reliability, craftsmanship, and the ability to keep commercial construction moving without shortcuts. We are the electricians contractors call when they need someone who can show up prepared, read the job correctly, and execute with precision from rough-in to final trim. Our work spans a wide range of commercial and light industrial projects, including tenant improvements, office buildouts, retail spaces, restaurants, multi-unit developments, hospitality properties, and service upgrades. We also regularly support projects in surrounding cities such as El Segundo, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Carson, Gardena, and Long Beach. If you are an electrician who takes pride in your trade, understands the pace of construction, and wants to work with a company that values skill and accountability, this is the kind of team where you can build a long-term career. The Electrician Position
This is a hands-on construction electrician role for someone who knows how to work independently, think ahead, and keep a job moving. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for installing conduit, pulling wire, setting devices, mounting equipment, and completing electrical systems according to plans, specifications, and field conditions. You will work in active construction environments where coordination matters, deadlines are real, and quality cannot be compromised. That means you will often be working alongside general contractors, foremen, project managers, apprentices, inspectors, and other trades to make sure your work integrates cleanly with the rest of the build. Our electricians handle a mix of new construction, tenant improvement, remodel, and upgrade work, so no two days look exactly the same. One day you may be laying out and bending EMT for a commercial suite buildout in Manhattan Beach, and the next you may be working on a panel upgrade, lighting package, or branch circuit installation in a neighboring city. The ability to adapt to changing site conditions is essential. You will be expected to read drawings, verify dimensions, identify conflicts, and solve problems in the field without needing constant direction.
We operate with a strong team structure, but we also expect experienced electricians to take ownership of their scope. Foremen and lead electricians provide direction, coordination, and quality control, while experienced field electricians are trusted to execute assigned work with a high level of independence. If you demonstrate strong performance, leadership, and consistency, there is real growth potential within Prime Partners. We want electricians who can move into lead roles, become trusted go-to field professionals, and eventually help train and supervise others as the company continues to grow throughout the South Bay and greater Los Angeles area.
Core Electrician Responsibilities
Your core responsibility will be to perform high-quality electrical installation work on commercial construction projects while maintaining safety, productivity, and professionalism on site. This includes conduit installation and layout, EMT bending with accuracy, panel installation, disconnect installation, lighting installation, and branch circuit rough-in and trim-out. You will be expected to read prints, understand the intended electrical design, and execute layout independently with minimal supervision. In addition to the core duties above, you will also be expected to handle advanced technical tasks such as:
- Troubleshooting wiring and circuit issues during rough-in and final stages
- Performing electrical terminations with attention to torque, labeling, and code compliance
- Coordinating feeder and branch routing in congested ceiling and wall conditions
- Verifying panel schedules, circuit identification, and device placement before final inspection
Regional project specifics are an important part of this role. In Manhattan Beach and surrounding coastal communities, electricians often work in occupied or high-visibility commercial spaces where cleanliness, noise control, and scheduling are critical. You may encounter tight retrofit conditions, coastal environment considerations, and projects that require careful coordination with other trades to avoid delays. Many of our jobs take place in active commercial buildings, tenant spaces, and mixed-use developments where the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a professional presence is essential.
Safety is non-negotiable. You must follow all site safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, proper ladder and lift use, PPE requirements, tool inspections, panel safety, and hazard communication standards. You are expected to keep your work area clean, remove debris, stage materials properly, and coordinate with other trades so the site remains organized and work can continue without unnecessary interruptions. A safe electrician is a productive electrician, and we expect both.
