Job Title: Residential Journeyman Electrician

Jonsson Electrical in Leeds, UT is seeking a seasoned Residential Journeyman Electrician with 4-7 years of experience.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have completed a 4-year apprenticeship and obtained a certificate, and hold a current Utah Journeyman 5504 Electrical License. Strong knowledge of NEC and residential wiring methods are a must. The ability to read plans/specs, produce neat terminations, and maintain a clean, safe, and code-compliant work area is essential. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and ownership of required hand tools are also required.

Primary Responsibilities

Our Residential Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for electrical installations for new-construction single-family and multi-tenant homes. Duties include laying out and rough/trim devices and lighting, bending and installing EMT/PVC/IMC as needed, pulling/terminating branch circuits and feeders, and coordinating with apprentices, GC, and inspectors. This role also requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and use common electrical tools daily.
