Core Residential Apprentice Electrician Skills

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma/equivalent or be a current secondary student (16+). They should possess an ability to learn and take direction from a Journeyman. They must obtain/maintain a Utah Apprentice Electrician license (Jonsson Electrical can help). A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and basic electrical hand tools per experience year are also necessary. We value a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to teamwork.

Main Residential Apprentice Electrician Duties

The selected candidate will support journeymen on new-construction single and multi-tenant homes. They will stage materials, use hand/power tools safely, and learn to install boxes, devices, and fixtures. They will assist with pulling wire, labeling, and basic terminations under supervision. Additional duties include helping with conduit measuring/bending and MC layout, maintaining clean work areas, following safety rules, reliably reporting to assigned sites, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
