What Your Week Actually Looks Like

At First Contracting, your week will be filled with diverse electrical projects that keep you engaged and challenged. From installing, maintaining, and retrofitting electrical systems in residential buildings to pulling wire and installing outlets, switches, and fixtures, no two days are the same. You’ll perform panel upgrades and work on occupied senior housing units, ensuring the safety and cleanliness of each job site. Our projects range from small home remodels to large-scale developments, including prevailing wage projects funded by state and federal programs. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values each member’s input and expertise.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To thrive with us, you’ll need a State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License and at least 4 years of experience in residential installations and remodels. Experience with retrofitting legacy systems and familiarity with HUD or MSHDA project settings are a plus. We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, who can work independently or as part of a team. Reliable transportation is a must, and we value practical skills and a can-do attitude over paper qualifications.
