The Service Electrician Position

As a Service Electrician on our team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include responding to electrical service calls, troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues, installing outlets, breakers, and lighting fixtures, and upgrading panels and systems. You’ll work in a variety of environments and on diverse projects, always under the supervision of our experienced team leaders. Core Service Electrician Responsibilities

Our Service Electricians are expected to interact professionally with clients, explaining issues clearly and ensuring job site cleanliness. You must adhere to all safety and code regulations and complete service documentation meticulously. Managing tools and service vehicle inventory is also part of the role. Advanced technical duties may include conducting advanced system diagnostics, managing large-scale installations, and overseeing regional project specifics. Safety protocols are of utmost importance and will be strictly enforced.

Required Experience & Skills

A Journeyman license or equivalent field experience is required for the role of a Service Electrician. You should possess excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, strong communication, and customer service abilities. Knowledge of NEC and local codes is vital, as is the ability to work independently. A clean driving record is essential, and experience with residential and commercial service work is preferred. You should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Service Electrician, and any additional certifications would be a plus.

Tools & Equipment

Our Service Electricians use a variety of tools daily, including multimeters, wire strippers, power drills, and more. While we provide most of the specialized equipment, you are expected to have your own basic hand tools. All the company-provided equipment should be maintained properly.

Physical Requirements

The role of a Service Electrician demands physical strength. You should be able to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces. Safety gear such as helmets, gloves, and safety boots are mandatory.
