The Residential Electrician Position

As a Residential Electrician at EV Careers, you’ll be a part of a dynamic team that works on various projects all over Savannah and neighboring cities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in homes and apartment buildings. You’ll work in different environments, from new construction sites to residential remodels. You will report directly to a supervisor and will have ample opportunities for growth within the company.

Core Residential Electrician Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include the installation and repair of home electrical systems, wiring new constructions and remodels, installing outlets, lighting, and switches, and servicing breaker panels and subpanels. You should be able to troubleshoot household electrical issues efficiently. Your duties will also include inspecting systems for code compliance, communicating with homeowners, following safety protocols, and maintaining tools and supplies.

Advanced duties specific to our electricians include handling complex projects involving specialized electrical systems, dealing with region-specific electrical issues, and ensuring strict adherence to our safety protocols.

Required Experience & Skills

We require a valid electrical license or proof of apprenticeship completion, and an understanding of NEC code for residential work. You should be able to read blueprints and layouts, and have skills in outlet, lighting, and switch installation. Experience with breaker panels, excellent customer service and communication skills, and a clean driving record are essential. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Residential Electrician is required.

Tools & Equipment

Our electricians use a variety of tools on a daily basis, including voltmeters, ammeters, wire strippers, and cable cutters. You will also need to have your own set of personal tools. The company provides all major equipment, such as power drills, saws, and testers.

Physical Requirements

The job requires lifting heavy objects, so you should be physically fit. You will work in a variety of conditions, from construction sites to finished homes. Safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves are required at all times on site.

Compensation Package
