Must Haves for Maintenance Electrician

It’s essential that our Maintenance Electrician has a minimum of 3-5 years experience. A valid electrical license or a background in facilities maintenance is required for this role. Solid troubleshooting and repair experience is necessary, along with familiarity with building codes and maintenance practices. The ability to work on-call or during off-hours is also required. Good communication, record-keeping skills, and knowledge of electrical testing equipment are prerequisites. The candidate must be capable of working independently.

Key Maintenance Electrician Duties

The main tasks for this role include performing routine electrical maintenance on building systems. This includes inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting lighting, power outlets, and control panels. Responding to urgent repair requests and performing electrical upgrades and preventative maintenance are also part of the job. Maintaining logs of repairs and inspections, replacing ballasts, fuses, wiring, and fixtures, and coordinating with facilities teams and vendors is required. Following all safety standards is a must.
