The Journeyman Electrician Position

Our Journeyman Electricians play a pivotal role in our operations, handling a variety of tasks on a daily basis. These may include running conduit and wiring, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, or interpreting technical blueprints for a new project. Core Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be expected to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You will interpret blueprints and technical drawings, handle conduit and wiring, troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, and ensure code compliance and workplace safety. You will also coordinate with other trades and project managers, document completed work and service records, and mentor apprentices when necessary. Your duties will also include maintenance of tools and equipment, compliance with regional project specifics, and adherence to our stringent safety protocols.

Required Experience & Skills

Qualified candidates must hold a valid journeyman electrician license and have a strong understanding of AC systems and electrical code. You should be able to read technical plans and blueprints, possess hands-on experience in wiring and breaker panels, and exhibit proficiency in troubleshooting and electrical repair. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations is a must, as are good communication and organizational skills. Reliable transportation is required. We expect a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the field, and you should possess essential certifications and technical knowledge pertinent to the role.

Tools & Equipment

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will use a variety of tools on a daily basis, such as wire strippers, voltage testers, and conduit benders. You are expected to maintain your personal tools, and the company will provide specialized equipment as needed for specific projects.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift heavy objects, often over 50 pounds. You will work in a variety of conditions, from residential homes to large industrial complexes. Essential safety gear, including hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves, are required at all times.
