The High Voltage EV Electrician Position
As a High Voltage EV Electrician on our team, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a blend of technical expertise and innovative thinking. You will work on various projects, from large-scale commercial installations to intricate residential setups. Core High Voltage EV Electrician Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of a High Voltage EV Electrician include installing, servicing, and maintaining high-voltage systems for electric vehicles and related infrastructure. You will ensure safety protocols for high-voltage operations, interpret technical schematics, troubleshoot and repair EV electrical systems, and test insulation resistance and power delivery. Further advanced technical duties include coordinating with engineering teams on layout and specifications, documenting system performance and service logs, and ensuring NEC and OSHA compliance.
Required Experience & Skills
We are looking for candidates with a valid electrician license and high-voltage certification. An in-depth understanding of EV systems and high-voltage safety standards is essential. We require a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of EVSE equipment and protocols, skill with electrical diagnostic tools, and familiarity with energy storage systems and power electronics are must-haves. Strong technical and communication skills are also crucial for this role.
Tools & Equipment
Our High Voltage EV Electricians use specific tools daily, including multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and high-voltage probes. You should come equipped with your own basic tools, while we will provide specialized equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) for high-voltage environments.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role involve lifting equipment and components up to 50 pounds. You should be prepared to work in a variety of conditions, from indoor installations to outdoor construction sites. Safety gear including hard hats, safety glasses, and high-voltage gloves will be necessary.

Compensation Package
