This vital role involves working on high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles and energy storage applications. Must Haves for High Voltage Battery Electrician
- A minimum of 4-6 years experience as a High Voltage Battery Electrician
- Possess an electrical license and battery safety certification
- Proficient in working with lithium-ion and high-capacity storage systems
- Comprehensive understanding of charge-discharge cycles, BMS systems, and thermal management
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety protocols for high-voltage DC
Key High Voltage Battery Electrician Duties
- Installation and maintenance of high-voltage battery systems for EV or energy storage applications
- Diagnosing performance issues and conducting thermal/voltage testing
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards in all operations
- Integrating batteries with inverters and charge controllers
- Maintaining accurate logs and test data
- Providing assistance with field retrofits and emergency repairs
