What You’ll Do as an Electrician Helper

As an Electrician Helper at EV Careers in LaGrange, GA, you’ll be an integral member of our construction team, assisting our seasoned Electricians with various tasks on our numerous projects throughout the city. It’s a hands-on, action-packed role where no two days are the same.

Your Daily Tasks as an Electrician Helper

Your primary responsibility as an Electrician Helper is to support our Electricians in their daily tasks. This involves preparing materials, cleaning work areas, and moving heavy equipment. You’ll also be tasked with running errands for parts and supplies, holding ladders and assisting during conduit installation and wire pulling.

Safety is paramount at EV Careers, so you’ll also be responsible for ensuring job site safety by setting up barriers and signs. In addition, you’ll assist in basic troubleshooting and use of multimeters under direction. Other daily activities include inventory management, tool maintenance, and assisting in electrical installations as and when required.

What You Need to Be an Electrician Helper

To succeed as an Electrician Helper, you should ideally have some prior construction or electrical labor experience. A high school diploma or GED is mandatory. You should be safety-conscious and familiar with basic hand and power tools. We admire punctuality and a strong work ethic and expect you to be able to work in heat or cold for extended periods.

Having spent 2-5 years in the field as an Electrician Helper would be advantageous. Hands-on abilities such as reading blueprints, soldering, and knowledge of electrical codes are highly desirable.
