Our Electrician Helpers play a crucial role in the successful completion of our projects, which range from residential rewiring to large-scale commercial installations and everything in between.

The Electrician Helper Position

As an Electrician Helper on our team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting our experienced electricians in preparing materials, cleaning work areas, and moving heavy equipment. You will get the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and in a range of environments, both indoors and outdoors. Under the guidance of a senior electrician, you will also participate in basic troubleshooting and use of multimeters. This position provides a solid foundation for growth within EV Careers, with opportunities to learn and develop your electrical skills.

Core Electrician Helper Responsibilities

In addition to the tasks mentioned above, as an Electrician Helper, you will be required to run errands for parts and supplies, hold ladders and assist during conduit installation and wire pulling, and ensure job site safety by setting up barriers and signs. Your advanced technical duties will include assisting in the installation of electrical panels, wiring, and lighting fixtures, under the supervision of a licensed electrician. You will also be involved in regional projects which may require specialized skills and knowledge. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to our safety protocols at all times.

Required Experience & Skills

We are looking for candidates with prior experience in the construction or electrical field, a high school diploma or GED, and a safety-first mindset. Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, punctuality, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in heat or cold for extended periods are also essential. A minimum of 2-5 years experience as an Electrician Helper is preferred. Essential certifications include OSHA 10 safety training. Technical knowledge of electrical systems and wiring is also required.

Tools & Equipment

Our Electrician Helpers use a variety of tools daily, including wire strippers, screwdrivers, drills, and multimeters. You will be expected to have your own set of basic hand tools, while more specialized equipment will be provided by the company.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift heavy equipment and materials, up to 50 lbs. You will be working in a variety of conditions, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights. Safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves will be required.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.76-$27.98 per hour, depending on experience.
