The Electrician Apprentice Position

As an Electrician Apprentice on our team, you will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of our experienced electricians, assist in a variety of electrical projects, and learn about the intricacies of electrical systems and operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in a variety of environments. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with project managers, other apprentices, and senior electricians. At EV Careers, we believe in growth and development. Core Electrician Apprentice Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include participating in the complete cycle of EV infrastructure installations, assembling and disassembling EV panels and disconnects under supervision, and installing wire trays and mounting systems. You will be required to measure and cut conduit accurately, track inventory and log hours, and complete safety checklists and hazard assessments before each shift. Additionally, you will be expected to apply national and local electrical codes daily. More technical duties will include troubleshooting electrical issues, conducting electrical inspections, and working with high-voltage systems. Safety will be a top priority in all projects, and you will be required to comply with all safety protocols.

Required Experience & Skills

We are looking for candidates who are currently registered with a state-recognized apprenticeship program and have 2+ years of experience on construction or EV job sites. You should be confident with basic hand tools and power drills and eager to learn high-voltage applications. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus. A positive attitude and a coachable mindset are essential.

Tools & Equipment

Our Electrician Apprentices use a variety of tools daily including wire strippers, multimeters, and power drills. You will be required to have your own basic hand tools, while we will provide more specialized equipment.

Physical Requirements

The job requires the ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and wear safety gear such as helmets, gloves, and safety shoes.

Training & Development

At EV Careers, we value continuous learning. As an Electrician Apprentice, you will be enrolled in our mentorship program, which includes on-the-job training under the guidance of an experienced electrician. We also provide opportunities to gain additional certifications and a clear path for career advancement.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $22.07-$27.58 per hour depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off and holidays, and ongoing training and certification opportunities.
