The Electrician Apprentice Position
As an Electrician Apprentice at EV Careers, your role is pivotal to our operations. You will engage in a variety of tasks daily, from participating in the installation of EV infrastructure to assembling and disassembling EV panels. You’ll work in diverse environments, from residential homes to commercial buildings, under the supervision of our experienced electricians. Core Electrician Apprentice Responsibilities
As an Electrician Apprentice, your primary responsibility will be to participate in the full cycle of EV infrastructure installations. This includes assembling and disassembling EV panels and disconnects under supervision, installing wire trays and mounting systems, and accurately measuring and cutting conduits. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining inventory, logging hours, and completing safety checklists and hazard assessments before each shift. Additionally, you’ll be expected to study and apply national and local electrical codes daily. Advanced technical duties include troubleshooting electrical systems, connecting and testing electrical systems, and maintaining electrical equipment.
Required Experience & Skills
The ideal candidate for the Electrician Apprentice position should be registered with a state-recognized apprenticeship program and have at least 2 years of experience on construction or EV job sites. You should be confident with basic hand tools and power drills and be eager to learn high-voltage applications. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus, and a positive attitude and coachable mindset are essential.
Tools & Equipment
As an Electrician Apprentice, you’ll frequently use tools such as wire strippers, conduit benders, and multimeters. You’re expected to have your own basic hand tools, while specialty tools and equipment will be provided by the company.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, such as climbing ladders and working in tight spaces. Safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots are required.

Compensation Package
Our Electrician Apprentices can expect a competitive salary range of $21.25-$27.29 per hour depending on experience. We provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with paid time off and holidays. We also offer ongoing training and certifications, as well as opportunities for career advancement. Overtime policies, tool allowances, and additional perks will be discussed during the hiring process.
