The Electrician Apprentice Position

As an Electrician Apprentice at EV Careers, you will be part of a team responsible for the successful installation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Under the guidance of experienced electricians, you will acquire hands-on experience while adhering to safety standards and regulations. You will be part of a supportive team environment with ample opportunities for growth and advancement within EV Careers.

Core Electrician Apprentice Responsibilities

As an Electrician Apprentice, you will participate in the full cycle of EV infrastructure installations. You will assemble and disassemble EV panels, install wire trays, and accurately measure and cut conduit. You will also track inventory, log hours, and complete safety checklists and hazard assessments. Studying and applying national and local electrical codes will be part of your daily routine. Advanced technical duties include installing and maintaining advanced EV charging systems, troubleshooting electrical issues, and working with high-voltage systems.

Required Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates should be registered with a state-recognized apprenticeship program and have at least 2+ years of experience on construction or EV job sites. You should be confident using basic hand tools and power drills, and eager to learn high-voltage applications. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus, and a positive, coachable mindset is essential.

Tools & Equipment

Our Electrician Apprentices frequently use tools such as wire strippers, cable cutters, multimeters, and power drills. You will need to supply your own basic hand tools, but specialty tools and equipment will be provided by EV Careers.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular lifting of equipment and materials up to 50 lbs. You will often work in outdoor conditions and at varying heights, so comfort with these conditions is important. Safety gear including hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots are required.

Training & Development

We provide a comprehensive mentorship program for our Electrician Apprentices, which includes hands-on training and theoretical learning. We also support our team members in obtaining additional certifications and provide a clear path for career advancement within EV Careers.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.7-$27.44 per hour depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
