The Electrician Apprentice Position

As an Electrician Apprentice at EV Careers, you will play an integral role on our team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting our master electricians with installations, maintenance, and repairs of EV charging systems. You will be working in various environments, from residential properties to commercial establishments. Supervision and guidance will be provided by our experienced electricians, with ample opportunities for growth within the company as you gain experience and expertise.

Core Electrician Apprentice Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities as an Electrician Apprentice will include participating in the full cycle of EV infrastructure installations, assembling and disassembling EV panels, installing wire trays and measurement systems, and cutting conduit accurately. Your role will also involve tracking inventory, logging hours, and completing safety checklists and hazard assessments before each shift. You will be expected to study and apply national and local electrical codes on a daily basis. Advanced duties specific to your role include wiring circuitry, installing EV charging equipment, and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Required Experience & Skills

We require that you are currently registered with a state-recognized apprenticeship program and have at least 2 years of experience on construction or EV job sites. You should be comfortable with basic hand tools and power drills and eager to learn high-voltage applications. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus, and a positive attitude and coachable mindset are essential.

Tools & Equipment

As an Electrician Apprentice, you’ll be using a variety of tools on a daily basis, including wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, power drills, and multimeters. We expect you to have your own basic hand tools, while more specialized equipment will be provided by the company.

Physical Requirements

The role of an Electrician Apprentice involves physically demanding tasks. You should be capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in various conditions, including outdoor environments. Safety gear, including hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots, are mandatory for this role.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.39-$28.16 per hour depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
