Job Title: Electric Vehicle Apprentice
We’re seeking an Electric Vehicle Apprentice at EV Careers in Sparks, NV. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about EV technology and sustainability, and have a basic understanding of electrical theory.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience as an Electric Vehicle Apprentice or in a similar role. Those actively working toward journeyman licensure or possessing strong note-taking and organizational habits are highly desirable.
Core Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory
- Interest in EV technology and sustainability
- Capable of using tablets and software tools on-site
- Customer-service friendly
- Actively working towards journeyman licensure
- Strong note-taking and organizational habits
Main Duties
- Work closely with licensed EV electricians
- Learn safe installation practices for Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations
- Assist with trenching and conduit placement
- Calibrate meters and sensors with supervision
- Test charging station output using diagnostic tools
- Monitor energy usage data and document abnormalities
- Prepare permit packets and inspection forms
