Electric Vehicle Apprentice Position Overview

At EV Careers, we have an immediate opening for an Electric Vehicle Apprentice in Raleigh, NC. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual interested in EV technology and sustainability. As an Electric Vehicle Apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced EV electricians to learn safe installation practices for Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations. You will also be actively working toward your journeyman licensure.

Must Haves for Electric Vehicle Apprentice

We require a minimum of 2-5 years experience as an Electric Vehicle Apprentice. Candidates must have a basic knowledge of electrical theory and strong note-taking and organizational habits. This role requires the use of tablets and software tools on-site, so technical competency is a must. You should be customer-service friendly when working on residential installs. The top 3 requirements for this role are: an interest in EV technology, working towards a journeyman licensure, and strong organizational skills.

Key Electric Vehicle Apprentice Duties

As an Electric Vehicle Apprentice, you will assist with trenching and conduit placement, calibrate meters and sensors with supervision, and test charging station output using diagnostic tools. Additionally, you will monitor energy usage data and document any abnormalities. Another key responsibility will be preparing permit packets and inspection forms.
