Electric Vehicle Apprentice Position Overview
EV Careers is seeking a diligent Electric Vehicle Apprentice for our Cleveland, TN location. The ideal candidate is someone with a keen interest in electric vehicle technology and sustainability, who is motivated to learn and grow with our team. As an Electric Vehicle Apprentice, you’ll assist our experienced EV electricians with installations, perform tests, monitor energy usage, and prepare necessary documentation.
Must Haves for Electric Vehicle Apprentice
- 2-5 years experience as an Electric Vehicle Apprentice
- Interest in EV technology and sustainability
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory
- Pursuing journeyman licensure
- Strong note-taking and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using tablets and software tools on-site
- Customer-service friendly approach, especially when working on residential installs
Key Electric Vehicle Apprentice Duties
As an Electric Vehicle Apprentice, you will:
- Work closely with licensed EV electricians to learn and practice safe installation methods for Level 2 and Level 3 charging stations
- Assist with trenching and conduit placement
- Calibrate meters and sensors under supervision
- Test charging station output using diagnostic tools
- Monitor energy usage data and document abnormalities
- Prepare permit packets and inspection forms
