What You’ll Do as a DC Fast Charging Electrician

Welcome to EV Careers, where we’re currently looking for experienced professionals to join our team as a DC Fast Charging Electrician in Sandy Springs, GA. In this role, you will be a key player in our ongoing projects, focused on supporting the transition to clean, electric transportation. Your daily tasks will revolve around the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of DC fast charging equipment for electric vehicle fleets and public charging infrastructure.

Your Daily Tasks as a DC Fast Charging Electrician

As a DC Fast Charging Electrician, your day-to-day activities will include installing and maintaining DC fast charging equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our EV fleets, and public charging facilities. You will perform site surveys to assess the need for charging equipment and handle all aspects of the installation process, from trenching and wiring to panel upgrades.

Commissioning and testing the chargers will be part of your routine, as will coordinating with utility and inspection authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. You will also be expected to document and log the performance of each charging station, contributing to our ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of our operations.

On top of these regular tasks, you will also troubleshoot and repair charging equipment, provide training and guidance to less experienced teammates, and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

What You Need to Be a DC Fast Charging Electrician

To excel in this role, you will need to be a journeyman or master electrician with significant experience in DC fast charging. A thorough understanding of high-voltage safety and commissioning protocols is critical, as is familiarity with the software platforms used for charger configuration and diagnostics.

Ideally, you will have spent 4-6 years in the field as a DC Fast Charging Electrician or in a similar role. Strong project management skills are a plus, as you will be responsible for managing field projects and service tickets. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will also be crucial to your success in this role.
