Commercial Electrician Position Overview
EV Careers is urgently seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team in Tupelo, MS. As a Commercial Electrician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings. We need a diligent, skillful professional who can effectively interpret blueprints, ensure compliance with safety codes, and manage materials and tools for projects.
Must Haves for Commercial Electrician
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Commercial Electrician
- Relevant electrical certification or licensure is preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams
- Hands-on experience with power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficient understanding of safety protocols and building codes
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Physical ability to handle electrical tools and equipment
Key Commercial Electrician Duties
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings
- Troubleshoot and repair power distribution systems
- Ensure compliance with safety codes
- Implement lighting control systems
- Plan and execute electrical upgrades
- Manage materials and tools for projects
- Coordinate with other construction teams
- Inspect and test installations for quality assurance
- Mentor apprentices and junior electricians
- Provide on-site technical expertise
- Support emergency power system installations
- Integrate energy-efficient solutions into designs
