EV Careers is urgently seeking a Commercial Apprentice to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This vital role will involve assisting in the installation of commercial-grade EV electrical systems in a variety of settings, including retail, hospitality, and industrial facilities. As a Commercial Apprentice, you will interpret basic blueprints, install control wiring for smart EV systems, and support panel upgrades.

Must Haves for Commercial Apprentice

Qualified candidates must have 2-5 years of experience as a Commercial Apprentice and have completed at least one year in an apprenticeship program. A solid understanding of commercial wiring systems is required, as is the ability to read simple one-line diagrams. Preferred candidates will have OSHA 10-hour certification. Attention to detail, strong math and measuring skills, and the ability to follow instructions exactly are essential to success in this role.

Key Commercial Apprentice Duties

As a Commercial Apprentice, your responsibilities will include assisting in commercial-grade EV electrical installations, interpreting basic blueprints, and installing low-voltage control wiring for smart EV systems. You will also pull wire through raceways, support panel upgrades and load center installations, and maintain records of material use and time logs. A key part of this role will be learning about commercial code requirements.
