Core Commercial Apprentice Skills

Completion of at least 1 year in a commercial apprenticeship program is required. You should have an understanding of commercial wiring systems and the ability to read simple one-line diagrams. OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred but not required. The job demands attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions exactly. Strong math and measuring skills are essential for this role.

Main Commercial Apprentice Duties

As a Commercial Apprentice at EV Careers, your main duties will include assisting in commercial-grade EV electrical installations in retail, hospitality, and industrial facilities. You will interpret basic blueprints and layout plans, pull wire through raceways, and install low-voltage control wiring for smart EV systems. You will also support panel upgrades and load center installations, maintain records of material use and time logs, and learn commercial code requirements.
