Commercial Apprentice Position Overview

EV Careers is urgently seeking a Commercial Apprentice to join our team in Orlando, FL. This role is critical in our commercial construction projects, where you’ll primarily assist in electrical installations for electric vehicle charging systems. We need someone with a solid understanding of commercial wiring systems and a knack for precision and detail.

Must Haves for Commercial Apprentice

• 2-5 years of experience as a Commercial Apprentice
• Completion of at least 1 year in a recognized apprenticeship program
• Understanding of commercial wiring systems
• Ability to read simple one-line diagrams
• OSHA 10-hour certification (preferred)
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions exactly
• Strong math and measuring skills

Key Commercial Apprentice Duties

As a Commercial Apprentice, your primary responsibilities will include assisting in commercial-grade electric vehicle (EV) electrical installations in retail, hospitality, and industrial facilities. You’ll interpret basic blueprints and layout plans, pull wire through raceways, and install low-voltage control wiring for smart EV systems. You’ll also support panel upgrades and load center installations, maintain records of material use and time logs, and learn commercial code requirements.
