Apprentice Electrician Position Overview

EV Careers is urgently seeking an Apprentice Electrician for our Tullahoma, TN location. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist in the installation and testing of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. You will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, learning to read blueprints and circuit diagrams, and adhering to National Electric Code (NEC) guidelines for low-voltage and 240V installations.

Must Haves for Apprentice Electrician

We require 2-5 years of experience as an Apprentice Electrician and enrollment in a certified electrician apprenticeship program. A basic understanding of electrical theory and safety protocols is a must. Candidates should be willing to work in outdoor and industrial environments, be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders, have excellent communication and team collaboration skills, and possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Key Apprentice Electrician Duties

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in installing and testing EV charging stations, pulling wire and bending conduit under supervision, maintaining tools, and keeping the worksite clean. You will also be expected to attend weekly safety meetings and hands-on training sessions. You will have the opportunity to shadow journeyman electricians during EVSE installations and repairs.
