The Apprentice Electrician Position

Our Apprentice Electrician role is a dynamic and rewarding position that offers a blend of hands-on practical work and continuous learning opportunities. Daily responsibilities include assisting in the installation and testing of EV charging stations, maintaining site cleanliness, and learning to read blueprints and circuit diagrams. The role provides exposure to a variety of project environments and offers a structured team setup with direct supervision from our experienced Journeyman Electricians. Core Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities

Our Apprentice Electricians play a pivotal role in executing our EV charging projects. Key responsibilities include pulling wire, bending conduit under supervision, and adhering to NEC guidelines for low-voltage and 240V installations. Advanced technical duties include troubleshooting EVSE system issues, coordinating with utility providers for service upgrades, and ensuring adherence to regional installation codes and standards. Safety is paramount, and our Apprentice Electricians are expected to attend weekly safety meetings, participate in hands-on training, and follow stringent safety protocols.

Required Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate for our Apprentice Electrician role will be enrolled in a certified electrician apprenticeship program and have a basic understanding of electrical theory and safety. Willingness to work in outdoor and industrial environments, ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders, strong communication and team collaboration skills, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation are essential. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Apprentice Electrician is expected, along with relevant certifications and technical knowledge.

Tools & Equipment

Our Apprentice Electricians make extensive use of a variety of tools, including wire strippers, conduit benders, and multimeters. Personal tools, such as safety boots and gloves, are required, while the company provides necessary equipment like power drills, cable cutters, and testing devices.

Physical Requirements

The role involves physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders. Apprentice Electricians often work outdoors in various weather conditions and must be equipped with the necessary safety gear, including hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.
