Candidates must be enrolled in a certified electrician apprenticeship program and have a basic understanding of electrical theory and safety. A willingness to work in outdoor and industrial environments is essential, as is the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders. Strong communication and team collaboration skills are vital, as is a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Main Apprentice Electrician Duties

Key duties include assisting in the installation and testing of EV charging stations, pulling wire and bending conduit under supervision, and maintaining tools and worksite cleanliness. Apprentice Electricians are expected to learn how to read blueprints and circuit diagrams, adhere to NEC guidelines for low-voltage and 240V installations, attend weekly safety meetings and hands-on training, and shadow journeyman electricians during EVSE installations and repairs.
