EV Careers in Louisville, KY urgently seeks a dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our construction-oriented team. This role requires a committed individual ready to assist with the installation and testing of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll work under the guidance of skilled journeyman electricians, gaining hands-on experience and learning about the complexities of our trade.

Must Haves for Apprentice Electrician

• 2-5 years of experience as an Apprentice Electrician
• Enrollment in a certified electrician apprenticeship program
• Basic understanding of electrical theory and safety
• Willingness to work in outdoor and industrial environments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Key Apprentice Electrician Duties

Your main tasks will involve assisting in the installation and testing of EV charging stations. You’ll be expected to pull wire and bend conduit under supervision, maintain tools, and ensure worksite cleanliness. You’ll learn to read blueprints and circuit diagrams, and follow NEC guidelines for low-voltage and 240V installations. In addition, you’ll be required to attend weekly safety meetings and hands-on training sessions, and shadow journeyman electricians during EVSE installations and repairs.
