The Apprentice Electrician Position

As an Apprentice Electrician at EV Careers, your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting in installing and testing EV charging stations, pulling wire and bending conduit under supervision, and maintaining a clean worksite. You will work in diverse environments, from outdoor locations to industrial sites. Our team structure promotes active learning, where you’ll be under the guidance of a journeyman electrician. Core Apprentice Electrician Responsibilities

Aside from the basic duties, you will also learn to read blueprints and circuit diagrams, follow NEC guidelines for low-voltage and 240V installations, and attend weekly safety meetings and hands-on training. Your advanced technical duties will involve troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance on electrical systems, and providing support in large scale projects. You will be expected to adhere strictly to our safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

Required Experience & Skills

Our ideal candidate should be enrolled in a certified electrician apprenticeship program and have a basic understanding of electrical theory and safety. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Apprentice Electrician is required. Essential certifications include a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. You should also possess strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Tools & Equipment

Our Apprentice Electricians use a variety of tools daily, including wire strippers, multimeters, and power drills. You will be expected to own personal tools such as screwdrivers and pliers. The company will provide additional equipment such as ladders, power tools, and safety gear.

Physical Requirements

The role demands physical fitness as regular lifting of up to 50 lbs is required. The working conditions vary, and you’ll often be required to work outdoors and in industrial environments. Safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, and boots are mandatory.

Training & Development

At EV Careers, we offer a comprehensive mentorship program for our Apprentice Electricians. You will have the opportunity to gain certifications in various areas of electrical work. Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range between $22.12 and $27.57 per hour, depending on your experience.
