As a Residential Electrician, you’ll play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of electrical systems in residential homes. Your Daily Tasks as a Residential Electrician
As a Residential Electrician, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks essential to keeping our projects on track:
- Installing Electrical Systems: You’ll be responsible for the installation of wiring, outlets, switches, and light fixtures, ensuring they meet the specific needs of each residential project.
- Performing Panel Upgrades: Upgrade electrical panels to accommodate modern energy demands, ensuring systems are capable of handling increased loads safely.
- Maintaining and Retrofitting Systems: Work on existing electrical systems, particularly in older homes, to bring them up to current safety standards. This includes the integration of new technologies.
- Senior Housing Units Work: Conduct electrical work in occupied senior housing units, requiring a respectful approach to minimize disruption.
- Ensuring Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy work area and adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both workers and residents.
- Compliance with Standards: Follow NEC standards and state regulations rigorously to ensure all work meets legal requirements.

What You Need to Be a Residential Electrician

- Licensing and Experience: A State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License is mandatory, along with 4-6 years of experience in residential electrical installations and remodels.

- Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities are essential for liaising with team members and residents, ensuring clarity and efficiency.
- Independence and Teamwork: The ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team is crucial.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation is necessary to travel between project sites in Sun Valley and surrounding areas like Reno and Sparks.

Compensation
