Overview of Office Apprentice Electrician Role

As an Office Apprentice Electrician at Jackson Electric, you will play a crucial role in our commercial project operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work closely with experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience and expanding your knowledge in commercial electrical systems. Your role will involve assisting with installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical components in various commercial settings, following Jackson Electric’s standards of quality and safety.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial projects, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Perform conduit bending and utilize basic test equipment to ensure the proper functioning of electrical components.
• Operate power tools and other equipment under supervision, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Support the lead electricians in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues on-site.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Continuously improve technical skills by participating in training sessions and staying updated on industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of electrical experience in a commercial or similar environment.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Georgia.
• Experience in conduit bending and the use of basic test equipment.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA 10 certification.
• Possession of a California ET Card, or willingness to obtain it within a specified timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating power tools and related equipment.
• Previous experience working on commercial projects, with a focus on office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, or schools.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Atlanta, GA
• Neighboring cities: Decatur, East Point, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven, College Park, and Smyrna.
• Schedule: Full-time position, with the possibility of overtime based on project needs and deadlines.
