Position Overview at High Point Networks
As a Data Center Cable Tech based in Sausalito, CA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare facilities projects. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network cabling systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role involves working closely with project teams in Sausalito and neighboring cities, contributing to the successful completion of technology infrastructure projects.
Essential Functions for Data Center Cable Tech
- Install and maintain network cabling, including fiber optic and copper cables, in healthcare facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of cabling systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan and execute cabling projects.
- Document all installations and maintenance activities accurately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications for Data Center Cable Tech at High Point Networks
- 3-6 years of experience in data center or network cabling.
- Required certification: BICSI Data Center Design.
- Proficient with Corning Fiber Systems and Panduit Cable Management solutions.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: CDCDP/CDCP.
- Extensive experience with Corning Fiber Systems.
- Specialized experience in healthcare facility cabling projects.
- Proficiency with tools such as cable testers, fusion splicers, and OTDRs.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Sausalito, CA.
- Additional locations: Mill Valley, Tiburon, San Rafael, Corte Madera, Larkspur.
- Schedule: Full-time position with potential for overtime based on project needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.42-$35.36 per hour.
