Job Description:

As a Solar Panel Installer at Greenskies Solar, you will be responsible for the installation of solar panel systems on new construction sites and large-scale solar farms in San Antonio and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely and efficiently install solar panels and support structures as per design and layout plans.
2. Connect solar panels and inverters, and ensure that they function correctly.
3. Perform site survey to identify solar installation site conditions.
4. Follow all safety procedures on the construction site and while installing solar panels.
5. Understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
6. Conduct electrical work and troubleshooting, when necessary.
7. Properly maintain and manage tools, materials, and all equipment.
8. Keep accurate records of all installation-related activities.
9. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
10. Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certified PV Installer certification from North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is preferred.
3. Minimum 1 year of experience in solar panel installation, preferably on solar farms or new construction.
4. Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
5. Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
6. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights.
7. Must have a valid driver’s license.
8. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
10. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
