Key Responsibilities

Design and install structured cabling systems for data centers and enterprise networks. Perform high-density fiber optic cable installations and certify cabling systems using advanced test equipment. Implement proper cable management in network rooms and terminate and test high-speed copper and fiber connections. Maintain detailed testing documentation and warranties. Coordinate pathway installation with other trades and perform data center hot aisle/cold aisle separation. Install overhead cable tray and ladder rack systems. Maintain clean room protocols for sensitive environments. Ensure compliance with Delaware’s local building codes. Collaborate with Wilmington-based construction teams on large-scale projects. Address regional environmental considerations in installations.

Required Qualifications

BICSI Installer 1 certification required, Installer 2 preferred. Demonstrated experience with fiber optic installation and testing. Proficiency with multiple certification testers and understanding of data center design principles. Experience with cable management systems and pathways, and knowledge of clean room procedures. Ability to read and create cable installation drawings and understanding of network hardware requirements. 1-5 years of experience required for Voice Data work in commercial settings. Familiarity with Wilmington’s specific regulatory standards. Residency within commuting distance to Wilmington preferred.
